In trying to protect his new friend, Willie strikes the attendant, badly injuring him, and warns Kimble in which both men, now fugitives, take off in a stolen truck. Kimble hides out with Willie at a nearby auto wrecking lot, where he tries to persuade Willie to return to the hospital, while the sheriff and his men are already on their trail.
