Despite the interference of a local reporter, Jackson Zane, detectives are able to catch the kidnapper, a known pedophile, and recover the girl, but when Alvin Dutch dies and the autopsy determines it was Anthrax, Benson puts everything on the line so that she can get the truth out there.

A drug lord is gunned in his Coconut Grove mansion and a suspect arrested at the scene claims he sells marijuana to Delko. Stetler, from Internal Affairs, investigates and the case quickly gets personal when Horatio gets involved. As for the shooting, the CSIs learn that two gunmen may have been involved. Also, Calleigh makes a major decision concerning her job.

Simon drops by to Glen Oak to talk to Eric and have...pie. Rose tells her dad about her being embarrassed about his numerous failed marriages as well as her mother's numerous relationships. That is the reason why she hasn't introduced her family to Simon yet. Philip encourages Rose to hold back on marriage with Simon and just live with him, while Rose debates that she tried that and the Camdens hate her even more.

Danny and Casey arrives at the Montecito for a hostile takeover, but it appears that Monica's will leaves Montecito to a foundation for the blind. Mike is assaulted in the stairway after breaking up a fight, which leaves Danny, Ed and even Mary to find out whom could do something like that to Mike. Ed takes care of Monica's will, and her belongings.
