Although Ray is completely against the idea, he quickly adopts a cooperative attitude when they meet the therapist, Pamela, who instantly takes a liking to Ray when he claims that he'll do anything to make his marriage work. Frustrated by the session, Debra accuses Ray of acting phony during therapy. Marie intercedes and conducts a mock therapy session with them which leads to a breakthrough that leaves even Ray horrified.

Megan Donner returns to the CSI unit in time to work on a jet crash in the Everglades. While searching for survivors, they inexplicably discover a female victim found five miles from the crash site. When the only survivor says the woman opened the plane's hatch in order to commit suicide, Horatio is suspicious. The team must now recreate what happened on that fatal flight, especially when the pieces don't quite fit together.

Using his new toy, he calls Cheryl and asks her to tell Randy, the chef at Larry's new restaurant, to omit peanuts from the dinner that night because Richard Lewis's girlfriend Deborah is allergic to them. But bad phone reception prevents Cheryl from hearing the message, and Deborah gets sick. A practicing Christian Scientist, Deborah refuses to take medicine to clear up the hives on her face. Richard will not be seen with her at the Emmy Awards that night, so he and Larry concoct a plan to bake a batch of Benadryl-laced brownies for Deborah to eat. The ruse fails, and that night on national TV, the Davids see Joan Rivers lambasting Richard and his none-too-attractive date on the red carpet.

Resuming from the previous season, the Andromeda is on the edge of a dimensional portal searching for Beka and Tyr. In an attempt to save them, Harper has constructed a device to reopen the portal. Using this Dylan enters the portal in the Maru. As he returns to Andromeda without his missing crew members, they appear on the ship. With no explanation to where they have been, they both attempt to get the ship away from the dimensional rift. Beka and Tyr seem to be acting very strangely and Harper discovers that there is a signal coming from the portal that is controlling Beka and Tyr. As Beka tries to get the Andromeda to enter the portal and kidnaps Trance, Tyr kidnaps Rommie and then erases the ships core AI. Trance frees herself from Beka's restrains and fights her on the deck of the Maru.Tyr and Dylan then get into a fight while the Andromeda is slowly moving towards the rift.
