This brings up all manner of questions of competency, about who the father might be and whether or not she had consensual sex or was raped. Was it the bus driver? Her employer? Her boyfriend? The administrator at the care facility? Even further, is Katie fit to be a mother and raise a child?

Goren and Eames investigate the assault/car accident of a corporate finance officer and the murder of her boyfriend, and they stumble upon a corporate accounting fraud/stock manipulation scheme. The corporate finance officer, Elizabeth Dawson, had been investigating her corporation's accounting irregularities and had refused to sign the accounting statements. Unbeknownst to Dawson, it was her corporate boss Chief Financial Officer Jack Crawley who had assaulted her, murdered her boyfriend and subsequently framed her for that murder. Crawley offered to provide her with an alibi if she signed the accounting statements.

Robbie's family is getting desperate to find new lodgings, within 16 days, while the renovation has already started, so he takes the first place he can get. While Jim successfully delivers Patty's puppies, Tina has a crash C-section, but she and Robbie's premature son pull trough. Owen and the police have difficulty protecting Syd now schizophrenic Kevin had sent photographs suggesting that he's a danger to her loved ones too. Joanie is still spoiled with attentions from both Phil and Jackson, but tells them to stop rivaling, yet refuses to choose.
