When Bert traps the monster it takes him on a hair raising race across the lake that ends in a spectacular crash. Everyone learns the difference between fact and fiction when the monster is revealed to be yet another Cyril Sneer tourist trap.

Whitley and Jaleesa team up for an audition to sing backup at an upcoming Gladys Knight concert on campus. They ask Angela, an aspiring opera singer, to join them. After Whitley and Jaleesa improve Angela's stage presence and teach her how to sing popular music, she turns into an insufferable diva. They throw her out of the group, but she forms her own trio and wins the audition. Whitley goes nuts and tries to attack Angela, embarrassing herself in front of Gladys Knight in the process. Jaleesa and Whitley realize they should have followed their instincts and tried out as a duo. They imagine what it might have been like to sing with Gladys. Meanwhile, Freddie tries to work up the nerve to ask Dwayne to the concert.

Sammy Jo and Jeff are relieved to discover the body they found in the lake is not Krystle, but the mystery of how she is involved still haunts them. Krystle's car is found in Harmon Springs and the man responsible for stealing it is a convicted murderer. Frustrated by the bizarre elements involved in Krystle's disappearance, Blake is both relieved and confused when Krystle's sister, Virginia, informs him that Krystle is with her. Finding a sealed farewell letter to Blake and Sammy Jo from Steven, Adam tosses it in the fire. Fallon comes across the partially charred remains, and immediately suspects her brother of treachery. After Dex expresses his unwillingness to help Alexis strengthen her empire, she takes advantage of Sable's unexpected return and her political and financially affluent friend, Hamilton Stone. Alexis persuades Stone to help her get her ships back from Natumbe, while Sable contemplates how she can benefit from their budding relationship. Blake flies to Dayton, Krystle

Vinnie goes to a Pilgrim rally and stumbles across the truck that was used to kill Pete, then agrees to a meet with Stan in the hopes of tying Pooley to it, leading to Stan and Ritchie's arrests.
