Kate wears an ear piece so that Drew can talk her through an interview with a catering company. She gets the job, and serves the guys some leftovers from her first assignment. They become violently ill, and blame Kate's cooking. However, Steve forces Mimi to confess to lacing a cookie (which Drew believed was a gift from his bosses) with a drug that causes vomiting when ingested with alcohol. The gang cannot drink for two weeks until the drug passes through their systems. Drew and Kate cannot spend any time together because of their busy schedules. He asks her to move in with him, but she believes they are moving too fast. He eventually agrees, and blames his temporary lapse in judgment on the sobriety. Lewis and Oswald begin seeing a pair of recovering alcoholics. After the drug wears off, they must choose between their new girlfriends and alcohol.

He gets very wild and winds up sleeping with one of the partygoers. Dylan advises him to keep the encounter a secret. A lonely Donna grows more jealous of David's relationship with Camille. She accidentally walks in on them having sex on the floor of the store. She freaks out and starts disinfecting everything in sight. Camille suspects that Donna wants David back. David tries to broach the subject with Donna; they reminisce, but do not disclose their feelings. Noah recognizes a bar customer as a woman from his A.A. group. He stops her from drinking, and they quickly make a connection. She feels threatened by Donna until Noah helps her obtain a full-time job. Kelly recommends Maddy for a sausage commercial. Janet neglects her work and becomes caught up in the idea of being a show biz parent.

The cops are assigned to the kitchen and discuss politics and the death penalty while Sully tries to get a reluctant head chef to feed them. The paramedics are parked in the hotel's garage where they talk about their worst cases, religion, relationships, and how life doesn't turn out as planned. Kim and Jimmy have it out again over his irresponsibility after her paycheck is garnished to cover one of his bad debts, and Jimmy resolves to clean up his act.
